Grasp the tooth by the crown (this is the part that is visible above the gum) and clean the tooth with saliva in your mouth or let the person who the tooth belongs to do this. If this is not possible, rinse the tooth with milk. Under no circumstances should the tooth dry out. If the tooth has been dry for more than half an hour, the chance that it can be successfully replaced is minimal.<\/p>\n

CAUTION<\/strong>: Do not bring the tooth in contact with water! The living cells of the root membrane often cannot survive on water.<\/p>\n

Unlike an adult, permanent tooth, you should never<\/span> replace a lost milk tooth. This can damage the new, permanent tooth. If the milk tooth was already loose due to the natural change, you don\u2019t need to do anything. A new, permanent tooth will automatically grow on the empty spot.
